How to get married in Georgia.
The State Department of Licensing and Regulation is issuing a state marriage license to an LGBT couple, who are seeking a state license to wed in Georgia as a couple.
The couple was notified last week that the application was approved, and their wedding ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, August 8, 2018.
The couple will then apply to have their wedding registered in Georgia, which they can do as soon as they have the appropriate paperwork, such as a court order.
The Georgia Marriage Licensing Commission is issuing an online marriage license application form, which you can use to find out if you qualify to get your license.
The application for the online marriage application must be completed by June 25, 2018, which is the deadline for the application to be sent to the State Department for review.
If you are eligible, you can register online and receive your license at the same time.
If you have questions about your marriage license and you are interested in becoming licensed in Georgia to marry, you may call the Georgia Marriage License Office at 1-877-957-8339.
If your marriage is not eligible to get a marriage license because you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or gender nonconforming, you should contact the Georgia Civil Rights Commission, which provides legal assistance for LGBT individuals in Georgia and around the country.
