There are some things that can make it more difficult to get married.
Here are some of the things that make it easier.
When you get your license from the Kentucky Marriage License Board you will need to get the following documents:1.
Proof of residency in Kentucky2.
Proof that you have lived in the state for at least one year3.
A certificate of citizenship4.
Proof from your employer5.
Proof you have a parent or guardian who has passed away6.
Proof the person you are marrying has been a resident of the state since the last valid marriage certificate was issued in the county in which you live for at most six months7.
A statement that you are married to a qualified person, who is also a citizen of the United States and has been married to that person for at a minimum of six months.8.
A written affidavit from the court in which the marriage was valid.9.
A photograph that is not less than one-half inch (1.5 cm) in size10.
Proof to support your marriage.
The Kentucky marriage license also requires proof of citizenship.
The person you’re marrying must have been born in Kentucky and be eligible for the citizenship lottery to qualify for a Kentucky marriage certificate.
If the marriage is invalidated or dissolved in any other jurisdiction, your marriage will not be valid in Kentucky.
There are a few other things that you will want to do to ensure you get the proper documents:11.
Be sure to make photocopies of all the documents you need.
The photocopier can make photocopy problems.12.
When you get to the clerk of the county where you live, check to make certain the county clerk has certified your marriage as valid.
The county clerk will not verify your marriage certificate unless the marriage certificate is certified by the state of Kentucky.13.
Check with the clerk if he or she will accept your marriage license.
If not, you can get a marriage license from another county.14.
Make sure you have everything you need to bring into the marriage license office, including a photo ID and a valid photo identification card.15.
Take all of the required documents and get them to the courthouse where you will get married at the courthouse.
The clerk will then process the marriage.
You can also get married from another location if you have more than one marriage license or if you are staying in a hotel room.
The marriage license is valid until you are divorced, unless you change your mind and get a divorce from another person.
