Why Georgia’s marriage license is the most restrictive in the nation

Georgia’s law allowing couples to marry at a local county courthouse is one of the most conservative in the country, with no exceptions for same-sex couples.

The state also has a high rate of gay marriages, with a higher percentage of marriages in 2008 than the national average of 26 percent.

The law has been in place since 1996 and only changed last year when the U.S. Supreme Court struck down parts of it.

Georgia coach says he’ll coach Georgia for another season

Georgias coach is confident his team can compete with the nation’s top teams next season and said his team would continue to win even with the loss of defensive lineman John Jenkins.

“We have to compete, we have to get to the next level,” head coach Joe Alleva said.

“I’m confident we’ll be the best in the nation next year.”

The Bulldogs are on a two-game winning streak and sit atop the SEC standings with a 6-3 record, one of only two undefeated teams in the league.

Georgia has won all five games it has played this season and will look to close out the regular season with a game against Florida Atlantic on Sunday.

The Gators defeated Georgia in Athens on Oct. 7 and are 2-0 against the Bulldogs this season.
